As an EEA member, Polygon is part of the EEA community of organizations working to advance Ethereum and drive industry adoption. In the Q&A below, the EEA interviewed Nitin Goyal about how Polygon is working with the ecosystem to help Ethereum reach its full potential.

Briefly introduce your company and yourself.

I have been working in the blockchain industry since 2015, leading Polygon’s Enterprise Engagement. Polygon is the first well-structured and easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Polygon POS chains are designed for flexibility and independence. The recently released Polygon SDK is a modular and flexible framework that supports building and linking secure chains such as Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium, etc. and standalone chains using their own specific consensus mechanisms. Polygon’s scaling solution has been widely adopted with over 350 Dapps, ~94M transactions and ~1M unique users.

How did you first get into the EEA and why did you decide to become a member?

As an integral part of the Ethereum community, Polygon focuses on growing the associated ecosystem. Our relationship with the EEA helps drive this adoption with regards to mainnet or L2-based scaling solutions. We plan to focus on L2 scaling solutions and actively engage with EEA’s interest groups.

How will the EEA improve your current efforts?

The EEA engages the community with working groups and interest groups. As our end goal is to get organizations to adopt and use Ethereum-based technology for their regular business operations, our engagement with the EEA will help standardize the Ethereum ecosystem so that solutions can be easily built, deployed and scaled on the same platform. .

What are you currently doing with Ethereum? How will end users benefit from your work?

Polygon is working to improve the current blockchain scaling solution we have deployed (POS, Plasma-based). We are excited to see Polygon being adopted by a variety of businesses for a variety of use cases. The recently released Polygon SDK is a modular and extensible framework for building Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks. The SDK allows businesses to have multiple options for deploying blockchain solutions to address the needs of their end customers. We are also working on other exciting technologies to be announced soon. We believe that businesses can greatly benefit from Ethereum technology and are excited to work within the EEA and with other EEA members.
